Walk through Noida Sector 18 during Diwali week and you will see the problem. Every shop, coaching centre and builder is sending customers a message, and most of those messages look exactly the same: plain text and a link. If you run a business in Delhi or Noida, standing out in the inbox is now a real advantage. RCS messaging is one way to do it, so let us look at how it works locally.
What RCS Looks Like for Your Customers
Instead of a grey text box, customers see your verified brand name and logo, a product image and buttons they can tap, such as Book now, Get directions or Call us. There is nothing extra to download. If a customer’s phone cannot receive RCS, an SMS goes out instead, so the message still arrives. The RCS messaging service for Delhi and Noida is run from MetaReach’s Greater Noida office, and the team says setup can even be done in person.
Ideas That Suit the NCR Market
The most useful campaigns fit how local businesses actually sell:
- Retail and D2C: festive carousels with a Shop now button, plus order updates with Track and Return options.
- Coaching and education: admission cards with Book counselling and Download brochure, perfect for the May to July season.
- Hospitals and diagnostics: appointment confirmations with Reschedule and Get directions buttons.
- Real estate: project cards with floor plans and a Book site visit button, sent only to contacts who agreed to hear from you. Think Noida Expressway and Greater Noida West.
- IT and SaaS: onboarding and renewal messages sent through an API, with webhooks feeding your CRM.
A Quiet Win for Hindi Messages
Hindi SMS is limited to 70 characters per segment, which makes longer messages costly and awkward. RCS avoids that limit, so you can write naturally. Just remember that if a message falls back to SMS, it is billed per 70-character segment, so keep the fallback version short.
Does Location Change the Price?
No. Rates are the same in Delhi and Noida as everywhere in India. Pricing at MetaReach Marketing runs from ₹0.50 down to ₹0.30 per RCS message plus 18% GST, depending on monthly volume. For instance, 10,000 messages a month at ₹0.40 costs ₹4,000 before GST, and 50,000 at ₹0.32 costs ₹16,000. Messages that fall back to SMS are billed at the SMS rate of ₹0.40 down to ₹0.12. Volumes below 5,000 or above 5,00,000 get a custom quote.
Reach Depends on Phones, Not the City
Here is the honest part. How many customers see your rich message depends on their operator and handset, not on whether they live in Delhi or Noida. Airtel and Google announced on 1 March 2026 that Airtel’s spam filtering would join Google’s RCS platform on Android. Business RCS can also reach iPhone users on Jio, though not every iPhone will be eligible, and July 2026 reporting found no confirmed support for Airtel iPhones. Plan fallback for everyone else.
Do You Still Need DLT?
Yes. RCS is approved through Google and the operators, which is separate from DLT. But almost every campaign uses SMS fallback, and that fallback needs a DLT-registered header and template with tagged variables and an opt-out on promotions. In practice you need both.
Getting Live in Five Steps
- Share agent details. Brand name, logo, banner, colour, description, website, support contacts and privacy-policy link.
- Clear Google brand verification. Google confirms your brand is genuine.
- Get operator approval. Jio and, where available, Airtel and Vi.
- Set up templates and fallback. Cards are designed and the SMS fallback is registered on DLT.
- Test, then launch. Send test messages to your own team first.
No fixed timeline is promised because it depends on verification, operator approval and your creative.
RCS or WhatsApp?
This question comes up in almost every meeting. They serve different jobs. RCS suits rich alerts and campaigns, while WhatsApp suits ongoing conversations with customers who have opted in. Many NCR businesses use both, choosing the channel by the message rather than by habit. If you are unsure, bring a sample campaign to the team and ask which fits. Being able to sit down face to face in Greater Noida is a real convenience when you are still deciding.
